Tomy Thomas & Friends Motor Road & Rail: "Calling All Engines" - Thomas Airport Set

This is a good starter set as it contains a basic track layout, but is more unique than many of the other basic sets as it contains the airport with "real flying" plane. The airport with the circling plane adds a different dimension to the toy and children will love stopping Thomas at the airport to make the plane spin around. There is also the added benefit that this set is a tie in with the DVD of the same name.

The set contains one loop of track with a spur coming off to an engine shed. Children will learn to change the points thereby moving the train into the siding and then into the engine shed. This is a great exercise for your children to do however, you may wish to buy further track to extend this as the enjoyment can be limited by this short piece of siding track. The train has to be actually stopped and turned around before it can move off again.

There are many extras available with which you can extend this set, which means that the track and possibilities are endless and only limited by the imagination of your child.--Matt Finn
