Customer Reviews: Good introduction to subject May 20, 2001 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
Having read Mr. Hunt's book as a part of a graduate course in Chldren's litteratur, I have found it to be a good introduction to the subject. The language of the book is accessible for a non-native speaker like myself, and one gets a good overview of the key developments in the genre through the last couple of centuries. Be aware that it has a British focus, and only discusses American litterature that have been important from a British perspective.
