| Customer Reviews: Lovely Solid train June 9, 2010 Ms. M. S. Scrivener (UK) The only reason I don't give this product 5 out of 5 is due to the battery life (which is not a problem), but not the fact that after 3 days it died, but because for some unknown reason you need a tiny triangle shaped screwdriver???!!
If anyone knows where I have gone wrong, please tell me!!!
Great Item. Made our Christmas Day 2009. December 28, 2009 raj1971uk (UK) So glad I bought Battery Powered Thomas (& Percy) for our Twins for Christmas. He is great.
Did occasionally lose him under the sofa, but if you listen well you can find him.
He pulled up carriages up hills no problems.
We have a number of non-battery powered engines, but these ones made our Twins Christmas.
Would definately recommend them to anyone who has a wooden track Thomas system.
Now tempted to buy James & Salty too.

This has proven to be a very sensible purchase. My Grandosn (aged 3) and I have had loads of fun with it since he got it as one of his a Xmas presents. It is now one of his favourite toys, and it is an extremely powerful piece of kit. Thomas can pull at least another dozen other engines/carriages, albeit he struggles to get grip when he is faced with hump backed bridge. He does eventually scrape and claw his way over, with all the others in tow, but I suggest a better tyre assembly would do the trick.
Exactly what it says on the box September 23, 2007 G. James (Finland) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic addition to anyone's Brio wooden railway set, the free wheeling feature is good for when you don't have a spare battery to hand!
And I could find no fault what so ever with the description contained on this page! It is matches exactly!
