My Son just loves his engine shed, and all his take along trains. It seems very well made, and holds upto 7 trains at a time and even Gordon fits inside with ease. It is perfect for taking along on holidays, or trips to the Grandparents house to keep any Thomas fan entertained for hours, with the track which fits into the roof being a bonus. My Son likes to pick which trains to take with him, and trys to fit in as many as possible.
Overall a great toy for any little Thomas fan, and comes recommended.

My son received this set at Christmas (Aged 2.5) and this has been played with many times since!
He has taken it to his Grandparents house on numerous occasions on its own, although I find it better when it is at home and used in addition to his other Take Along items and track.
When it is used to 'take along' I find that it doesn't keep my son entertained for very long- the track you can fit in it/get with it, only goes in a circle and joins to either end of the base once it is pulled out, so after pushing trains in and out of sheds and around in a circle a few times he moves onto something else.
When combined with his other sets and track, this can keep him entertained for much longer and its great for storing the trains and track in too.
It is very durable- this set has been dropped on the footpath outside, and has fallen (or pushed!)off the table a few times and there is not a mark on it.
I would recommend this set to add to your childs take along collection. If you only wanted to buy one item of the Take Along Range and not add anything else to it then I would higly recommend the Sodor Mine.

This was the perfect gift i bought for my son 2nd Birthday. The joys he got out of it placed a smile on his face and on mine. I bought some other different trains of thomas's friends. It good to buy the other trains bit by bit as a treat. I'm also away to buy some more tracks as my son loves putting it together. I find it very handy to take with us on hols, and up to granny's. I recommend this for those thomas fans out there.

Obviously a valuable addition for collectors of Thomas take along. Slight problem with doors not closing properly but apart from that great addition to other playsets.

Best Thomas the Tank Engine value for money toy - a classic. old fashioned. we bought this twice! once for our own, once as a gift! Better value on amazon
